For the third year in a row I have entered the lottery for a spot to run the New York City Marathon. If I don't get in this year I will be guaranteed and entry in 2011. Wish me luck!

- I am a triathlete. I'm not a very good triathlete in the sense that I am not particularly good at any of the three disciplines that make up triathlon, but none-the-less, I am a triathlete. I have learned that the most important thing in triathlon is persistence. Just keep going. When I talk about my experience of completing an ironman triathlon in 2008 there is usually someone who says, "I could never do that." It is true; they could not because they tell themselves that they could not. If a guy like me can finish an ironman, then almost anybody who is determined to do so can finish an ironman. Being a triathlete is not who I am, but it is one of the things I do. Who am I? I am a Christian, an American, a husband and many other things too numerous to mention here.

I entered as well. It's my first time. How many times do you have to enter before you automatically get in?
If you don't get in after three tries, you automatically get in on the forth. Then it is back to square one. Of course we could always qualify...If we took a bus.
